People Say That ‘Patience is a Virtue’, is That True?
Does being patient make you lose?
A few days ago, I went to a nearby MTN office to swap my lost SIM card. I get to the place as early as 7 am. And surprisingly I met 42 people queuing. I was greatly shocked to see such a large number of people. However, I joined the queue and became the 43rd person. Behind me, there were a lot of people who also came there too.
At about 8 am, the MTN staff began to respond to us, following the queue numbers accordingly. At a point, the network becomes unstable and triggers a delay. We waited for hours and there was no progress. Many got tired and left but I continued to wait. Despite the network challenges and delays, I refuse to give up.
Guess what, I waited till evening and to no avail. I kept standing hoping to get my issue solved. Behold it was 5 pm and that is the due time of closure. The security man who is leading us in told us that they've closed for the day until the next day. I felt displeased but not as much as that.
A few minutes later, the security man came out again to address us. He told us that he is going to take our names and submit them early in the morning (the next day) as he will be running night duty. He assured us that he will not close duty until we are attended to. Among the few people left, I…
