How many times have you heard somebody say that success is 50% about skill and 50% about luck? You’ve probably even said this yourself at one point or another, so it feels true to you.

So how would you feel if I told you that saying success was 50% skill and 50% luck was not just wrong, but also mostly nonsense?

If you were to ask most successful people if they thought their level of skill had anything to do with how successful they were, the vast majority of them would say no, since there are more important factors like opportunity, networking, and timing involved in the equation.

The Old Model

Success is elusive and difficult to find. But it doesn't have to be! There are plenty of people who have managed to achieve success time and time again, so we can learn from them.

Let me ask you this: what does every successful person in history have in common? The answer is that they all used the old model for success.

The old model for success is just that, an old model. It's outdated, and it's not going to work anymore... but why? Well, because technology has changed the game.
